About Tahoe Reserve
A steward, not a service ticket
Tahoe Reserve is a boutique estate care practice built around one principle: your mountain home deserves the same personal attention you give it.
The Founder
Brent Whiteman
Founder & Principal Steward
I grew up in the Bay Area and spent years watching families invest in Tahoe properties — only to find that managing them from a distance was harder than anyone expected. Pipes freeze. Roofs load up. Vendors don't show. And the call-center property management companies that exist to solve this problem often make it worse.
Tahoe Reserve exists because I believe there's a better model: one person, a small roster of homes, and a genuine commitment to knowing each property the way an owner would. I keep my client list deliberately limited so that every home gets real attention — not a checklist.
I live and work in Truckee. I know the roads, the contractors, the weather patterns, and the quirks of mountain construction. When something happens at your home, I'm already here.
The Philosophy
Small by design
Most property management companies grow their portfolio as fast as they can. More homes means more revenue, and the individual property becomes a line item. Tahoe Reserve is built on the opposite premise: a small, curated roster of homes that I can actually know.
That means I can tell you which window on the north side tends to collect ice, which vendor to call first when the boiler acts up, and what your home looked like the last time I was there — because I was there last week.
Personal accountability
Every client works directly with me. No subcontractors, no rotating staff, no call centers.
Proactive stewardship
I catch problems before they become expensive. Regular inspections, seasonal preparation, and a record of everything done in your name.
Local expertise
I live in Truckee. I know the contractors, the weather, and the communities across the service area.
